Beware of the dog!
It’s not just the local postman or newspaper delivery boy or girl who feels nervous when walking up the pathway of a house with a “Beware of the Dog” sign fixed to the front gate. Most people may be a little anxious about approaching a strange house, knowing that there is a dog living there.
Many householders living alone like a dog for company and for the added level of security that a dog gives them. However, if you do not like dogs and do not own one, you can always invest in a “Barking Dog Alarm” as a deterrent to would-be intruders and undesirables who may be eyeing up your home.
These alarms work by detecting movement outside your property, using micro-wave and radar technology, detecting motion within the range of the sensor. The sensitivity of these alarms can be adjustable and there are volume controls for the barking noise produced. Some models of alarm can also run on batteries if there is a power cut. The realistic barking emitted, once the alarm is activated, is enough to deter any burglar from entering your home.
