Security procedures are vital in every workplace, especially retail stores. It’s important to be able to deter or catch burglars or petty thieves and the right procedures can help a company maintain a high level of security.
It’s important to check that all windows and doors are locked securely when the working day comes to an end, while electronic tags and alarm systems can ensure the product will send a warning if it is taken without being paid for (whereby the tag is removed). Cash registers usually include keys, cards or log in details and these should always be kept safe, while they should be changed when personnel in the workplace changes over time.
CCTV is another important part of security in the workplace and it will often involve having the CDs or tapes changed frequently, and it just becomes a matter of keeping up with the video data and storing it appropriately. Security is vital in every workplace today and the right procedures will offer a high level of security.
